First-Aid training
First aid training is essential for anyone wishing to be prepared to respond effectively in an emergency. Whether you're a novice or a professional looking to refresh your skills, our first aid training program is designed for all levels, offering essential skills and vital rescue techniques.
Our program covers a wide range of emergency situations, including first aid, injury management, resuscitation techniques and much more. Through theoretical and practical modules, you'll develop the confidence and expertise to react quickly and appropriately when needed.
By taking part in our first aid training, you'll learn to :
- Assess emergency situations and make appropriate decisions.
- Administer first aid for common injuries such as cuts, burns and fractures.
- Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and use an automated external defibrillator (AED).
- Provide basic life support until professional help arrives.
This add-on module for healthcare professionals complements the original "CPR/AED - Healthcare Provider" or "CPR/AED - Basic Life Support" certificate.
This module does not include any concepts related to CardioPulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) or Airway clearance.
Upon successful completion of this training, the health professional will obtain a three (3) year certification in first aid.
The Psychological Distress First Aid course is a training course that aims to teach the basic skills to help people in psychological distress. This training allows participants to recognize the signs of psychological distress, provide immediate support and make referrals to mental health professionals if necessary. Participants will also learn how to manage their own emotional well-being when helping others.
In Quebec, the Ministry of the Family requires certain conditions to ensure that every child is safe in a healthy and secure environment. All persons working or wanting to work with young children must take the 8-hour general first aid training. The "Prevention of Childhood Infections" training is adapted to early childhood and is complementary to the "First Aid adapted to early childhood" training. Each certification issued is valid for a period of 2 years. This training will allow you to ensure a better follow-up and to be more vigilant towards children.
