Training purposes
The main purpose of this course is to equip coaches with the tools and knowledge they need to intervene quickly and effectively in the event of an emergency during a sporting activity. Priority is therefore given to preventing injuries, recognizing vital signs and implementing appropriate first aid measures.
Training content
First aid techniques
During this training course, participants will learn a variety of relevant first aid techniques, such as the treatment of wounds, fractures, sprains and other injuries frequently encountered in the sports environment. Practical demonstrations and scenarios will help participants assimilate these concepts.
In-depth module on concussion
As it is a common sports injury, this course includes a module of approximately 1.5 hours dedicated to concussion. During this module, participants will learn to recognize the symptoms, assess the severity of the situation and take immediate action to minimize potential damage.
Management of cardiorespiratory emergencies
An essential part of the training is dedicated to the management of cardiorespiratory emergencies. Participants will learn how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and perform effective Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
