First aid - Concussion (1.5h)
Welcome to the Concussion Training. The purpose of this training is to make you aware of concussions, a common traumatic brain injury that can occur as a result of a blow to the head or a severe impact.
During this training, you will learn the signs and symptoms of concussion, preventative measures to reduce the risk of injury, actions to take if a concussion is suspected, and treatment and recovery measures.
The training is designed to provide you with the knowledge to help prevent concussions and to help those who suffer from them.
Prevention of childhood infections (1.5h)
In Quebec, the Ministry of the Family requires certain conditions to ensure that every child is safe in a healthy and secure environment. All persons working or wanting to work with young children must take the 8-hour general first aid training.
The "Prevention of Childhood Infections" training is adapted to early childhood and is complementary to the "First Aid adapted to early childhood" training.
Each certification issued is valid for a period of 2 years. This training will allow you to ensure a better follow-up and to be more vigilant towards children.
First Aid - Psychological distress (1.5h)
The Psychological Distress First Aid course is a training course that aims to teach the basic skills to help people in psychological distress.
This training allows participants to recognize the signs of psychological distress, provide immediate support and make referrals to mental health professionals if necessary.
Participants will also learn how to manage their own emotional well-being when helping others.
Human Physiology (1h)
Our Human Physiology micro-course is a comprehensive introduction to the systems and processes of the human body. You will learn the basics of human physiology, including the different systems of the body and how they function.
We will also cover the physiological processes that allow the body to maintain its internal balance.
This course is perfect for students or anyone interested in how the human body works.
Complementary Module - Health Care Provider First Aid (11h)
This add-on module for healthcare professionals complements the original "CPR/AED - Healthcare Provider" or "CPR/AED - Basic Life Support" certificate.
This module does not include any concepts related to CardioPulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) or Airway clearance.
Upon successful completion of this training, the health professional will obtain a three (3) year certification in first aid.
