The following conditions apply to Académie Saint-Bernard and its academiesb.comsite located at //academiesb.com/. All content on the site is the exclusive property of Saint-Bernard Academy, for which all rights are reserved. The content of this academiesb.comsite is for education and training purposes only, to teach skills in accordance with national guidelines in terms of medical, traumatic and resuscitation first aid. The content of this academiesb.comsite is based on various texts accessible to the general public and to health professionals. The Saint-Bernard Academy has made reasonable and good faith efforts to ensure the accuracy and validity of the material.

 

  • Do not try and practice the techniques taught by the Academy on people who do not need it.
    • Performing these maneuvers, when they are not necessary, can result in death or serious injury.
  • Trauma first aid maneuvers should only be performed on those who need it and preferably under the supervision of a licensed professional.
  • The learned procedures will not save everyone, even if they are done correctly.
  • The Saint-Bernard Academy can not, under any circumstances, be held liable for loss or damage of any kind, whether contractual or tortious, or under local, regional or federal laws, ordinances or by-laws.
  • Use or reliance on educational materials is at your own risk.
  • The Saint-Bernard Academy does not give any guarantee to the students who participated in its courses or who followed them successfully. The success of the training is only up to the student himself.
    • It is up to the student to take the necessary measures to ensure that the training(s) followed(s) are completely assimilated(s).
  • You should not rely solely on first aid training material during a first aid act, but rather look for another advice.
    • Before you take or take any action that could result in personal injury, damage, or death, you must call 911 and follow the instructions of the emergency medical dispatcher.
  • The certificate guarantees that the student has successfully completed all modules of the successful course(s).
  • The role of the Saint-Bernard Academy is to educate students using the latest scientific guidelines.
  • The Saint-Bernard Academy has made reasonable and good faith efforts to ensure the accuracy and validity of the equipment in accordance with national first aid requirements.
  • CPR instructions with or without AED, CRT, medical first aid and trauma should not be seen or practiced by children or adults who will not fully understand the content and its potential consequences.
  • The Saint-Bernard Academy and all persons and entities involved in the creation, production and distribution of its academiesb.comsite and educational material are neither associated with, nor affiliated with, nor endorsed by :
    • The American and Canadian Red Cross,
    • The Heart and Stroke Foundation,
    • The St. John Ambulance,
    • Or any other organization.
  • The certificate of achievement as printed may differ from the image displayed on our academiesb.comsite.
  • The sole purpose of the certificate is to certify that, to the best of our knowledge, the buyer has successfully completed one or more of our online courses.
  • The Saint-Bernard Academy has made reasonable and good faith efforts to ensure that the student has passed his certification(s) in a lawful and honest manner without any act of cheating.
    • Students will be able to administer CPR, with or without AED, CRT, medical and traumatic first aid, in case of real emergency such as successful certification.
  • The Saint-Bernard Academy does not guarantee, either explicitly or implicitly, that its certification will comply with the requirements or standards of the user or third parties.
  • The customer is solely responsible for compliance with the requirements and regulatory standards to the demands of his employer.
    • A detailed syllabus list is available for each training planned for this purpose.
  • In the event that an employer requires the presence of a practical exam, it will be the responsibility of the candidate to contact a representative of the Saint-Bernard Académy to conduct the exam through a video discussion.

 

Terms and Conditions – Store

  • If the wrong product has been shipped or if it is damaged, the Saint-Bernard Academy will pay the return shipping costs for the new order generated and no restocking fee will be charged, provided the return is made within 10 days;
  • A 15% restocking fee is applied on returns for order errors resulting from an error made by the customer. Return shipping to the shipper is paid by the customer;
  • No return is accepted more than 10 days after receipt of the goods;
  • The Saint-Bernard Academy reminds you to pack the goods well before sending them back. We recommend that you insure your return package in case of loss or damage. For your own protection, we recommend using a carrier that provides proof of delivery. The Saint-Bernard Academy is not responsible for any loss or damage to the returned goods;
  • All returns must be postage-paid (at your expense) unless otherwise stated;
  • Unauthorized returns will not be accepted unless otherwise stated;
  • Packages rejected by the recipient are considered unauthorized returns and are subject to the same fees. The customer will be responsible for the return shipping costs;
  • The Saint-Bernard Academy issues a credit once the goods have been received and inspected. For a credit to be issued, the merchandise must be in its original packaging, with all documentation, warranty cards, instructions and accessories and in resale condition. If the goods are damaged, scratched or incomplete, no credit will be issued. Initial shipping costs are not refundable;
  • Any product identified as a special order is non-returnable;
  • The Saint-Bernard Academy reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions without notice.

Our intervention protocols and dressing application techniques are carefully developed in strict compliance with current standards and best practices in first aid. Our primary objective is to ensure the safety and well-being of our victims. However, it is essential to note that emergency situations can vary considerably, and our recommendations do not cover every possible case.
  • First aid training
    • We strongly encourage all first responders to keep their first aid training up to date. This ensures the effectiveness of your actions and keeps you up to date with the latest developments in emergency care. It is your responsibility to ensure that your first aid skills are up to date and appropriate for each situation.
  • Use of Professional Advice
    • Our recommendations are general guidelines. You should not regard them as an exclusive source of information.
