What is your job title?
We advise you to follow our training of " First Aid General Public (8h) ". This is an eight (8) hour training course including all the elements of CPR and the use of an AED (Automatic External Defibrillator). To learn more about the skill elements taught in this training, you can find our detailed course outline on the training page.
We suggest you take our "CPR Health Care Provider" training. It is suitable for personnel working in the health care field. It will entitle you to credits for hours of annual training required by the OIIQ and the OIIAQ. If your job involves vaccination, you will also have to take our "Anaphylactic Allergy First Aid" training in addition to the CPR training.
We advise you to follow our training " First aid adapted to early childhood ". It allows you to obtain a valid certification from any employer (e.g.: CPE, daycare center, school, recreation and sport establishment) that has a direct link with children. It meets all the standards required by the "ministère de la famille" in order to be able to perform your work as a child educator. This is an eight (8) hour training course, specific to early childhood and which includes the management of severe allergies of the anaphylactic type.
We advise you to follow our training as a "First Aid in Schools". This is a very comprehensive training in CPR and first aid for adults, children and infants.
*** If you are a high school teacher and would like to offer CPR training to your students *** We recommend that you take our new High School CPR Training. It provides high school teachers with all the tools they need to understand and teach the intricacies of CPR principles. Inspired by the realities of the field, each lesson combines theory and practice in an interactive and rewarding teaching approach. We offer you the opportunity to take our "CPR Health care provider" training program, which is suitable for personnel working in the dental field and meets all the requirements of your professional order, such as: Learning CPR maneuvers for Adults, Children and Infants (Level C); Learning how to use an AED; Learning how to use a masked balloon; Mandatory practical sessions; etc. *** Please note that an evaluation of the instructor-led practical component will be required by your professional association. You will therefore need to schedule a meeting with one of our instructors in order to proceed with this practical evaluation upon completion of your training. ***
Above all, we strongly advise you to ask your contact agent at the health and social services center (CSSS) in your region to make sure of their requirements. Some administrative regions will require eight (8) hours of training while another will require sixteen (16) hours of training. In the first case, we recommend our "First Aid General Public (8h)" training. In the second case, we recommend our "First Aid General Public (16h)" training.
The DPJ will ask you to take a training course in " First Aid CPR - AED - SA - Level C - 16h ". We then offer you to follow our "First Aid General Public (16h)" training. It includes learning the following elements: The use of an automatic external defibrillator (AED), first aid for severe allergies of the anaphylactic type (SA), CPR maneuvers for adults, children and infants (Level C).
How our training courses work
Here's how our training courses work: o As soon as you purchase the course, you will have a maximum period of ten (10) weeks to complete it. It will then be possible to log in and out of your profile as you wish. o Our training courses are 100% online. At the end of each reading block, you will be evaluated through various theoretical multiple-choice questionnaires. The pass mark for each test is 80%. If, unfortunately, you fail a test, you will be able to retake it on the spot. o Practical sessions will also be required. Thanks to our exclusive automated system, you will be able to take these sessions at your own pace, step by step. o Upon successful completion of your training, a certification will automatically be issued to you in your profile. You will then be able to download, email or print it without any problem. If you absolutely need to receive the certification card, please send us an email as soon as you have successfully completed your training. o We also invite you to consult our FREE training entitled "How does it work? (for individuals)" which will inform you about our methods of operation.

You will be invited to make your own small CPR dummy using everyday objects so that you can assimilate the various first aid techniques. No representative from Académie Saint-Bernard will come to your home and at no time will you need to travel to your home to perform the practical evaluations. You will also be invited to download our FREE mobile application entitled "CPR - ASB" which will certainly accompany you during your practices.
All training offered at Académie Saint-Bernard meets all North American standards for cardiovascular emergency care issued by ILCOR (International Liaison Committee On Ressucitation). This is the ILCOR which issues recommendations for Cardiovascular Emergency Care (CEC) at the national level. It is therefore the duty of the company and the trainers to follow these latest standards (the most recent standards available) in order to have their accreditation recognized. Our accreditations entitle you to valid recognition in the same way as an accreditation offered by large companies.
Our training courses are all offered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We offer 100% online training that you can take directly at home using a computer, tablet or smartphone.
In the vast majority of cases, your training will be immediately available after your payment. Please note that PayPal sometimes takes a long time to provide us with payment confirmations. As a result of these particular situations, the purchased training is unfortunately "waiting for payment". This situation will return to normal within a maximum of 24 hours.
I am a customer and I have questions
Upon successful completion of your training, you will automatically receive a certificate in "PDF" format that you can download, print and email. Each certification has a unique "URL" and a unique "QR" code. It is therefore impossible for an individual to falsify a certification from Académie Saint-Bernard. Your certificate will be available at all times from your profile under the "Certificate" tab. If you would like to receive a certification card in pocket card format, we will ask you to let us know your desire, following the successful completion of your training. Then, we will proceed as quickly as possible to its printing and shipping.
You should have received two (2) emails when you registered. The first one inviting you to log in to your profile for the first time to choose a password and the second one to notify you that a new course is available in your profile. If you have not received any emails, we advise you to check your junk mail box first. Second, make sure you have provided your employer with the correct email address and make sure your employer has entered your email address correctly when you registered. If you are still having trouble logging in to your profile, contact us and we will be happy to assist you.
Here are the steps to follow to access and start your training: 1. Log in to your profile using the temporary password you should have received by email. (Please note that some of our emails may end up in junk mail) 2. Once you have accessed your profile, click on the title of the course you purchased (the course title should appear in red). 3. Click on the first reading to switch to the learning environment. And there you go!
In order to obtain your certification, you MUST fulfill these three (3) conditions: 1- Perform all the readings present in your training. To do so, you must click on the red "finished" button at the end of each reading to confirm that you have completed your reading and that you understand the skills taught. 2- Complete all required practical sessions within the required time. Don't forget to start the timer and to confirm that you have completed the practice session when you have finished it. 3- Pass with an average of 80% or more each of the theoretical evaluations present in your training. The success of these evaluations is reported in your profile under the indication " Progression " as a percentage.
Unfortunately, we are still waiting to be able to apply for authorization from CNESST to offer "Secouriste en milieu de travail" training. Please note that this training has been ready to be broadcast on our platform for several months, but we absolutely need CNESST's authorization in order to make it official. Therefore, we cannot offer you this training at this time.
